이 대표는 “부동산을 단기적 투자의 관점에서 접근하는 시대는 지났다. 특히 아파트를 분양받아 1~2년 사이에 급등하는 시장은 앞으로 기대하기 어려울 것이다. 시장이 회복된다 해도 서서히 반등할 것이고 장기적인 관점에서 봐야한다. 트렌드는 이미 원룸, 투룸 등의 소형주택으로 기울었고, 수요가 많은 만큼 시장도 성장한다. 투자를 위해서라도 앞으로는 아파트보다 소형주택이 전망이 있을 것”이라며 “이에 법적인 제도 또한 소형주택의 활성화에 초점을 맞춰야 한다. 성장하는 시장에 가속도를 붙여줘야 건설시장이 전체적으로 활기를 띨 것이다. 건축법의 테두리 안에 묶기만 한다면, 소형주택시장이 전성기를 맞기도 전에 위축될 것”이라며 걱정스런 반응을 보였다. 또한 그는 “수요가 활발할 때 시장이 잘 형성되는 것이 금상첨화이고, 이를 위해서는 정부와 업계, 국민이 다 함께 노력해야 한다”는 말도 덧붙였다.

Even for investment, small home will be more promising than an apartment in the future.” But he commented anxiously, “Thus, legal institution should also focus on activating small homes. The entire construction market could only be active by putting acceleration on the growing market. If they do nothing but limit it within the construction law, the small-home market will be atrophied even before seeing the heyday.” He also added, “The market forming well in active demand will be the icing on the cake, for which the government, industry and the people should make efforts all together.”
