“물은 능히 질병도 만들 수 있고, 물은 능히 건강도 만들 수 있습니다.”
전쟁 직후 보릿고개 세대인 그는 배고픔을 해결하는 것이 사람을 살리는 일이라 생각했다.
“허기가 병의 이유인 줄 알던 시절이었습니다. 못 먹어 병이 생기는 줄 알았는데 배불리 먹을 수 있는 시대가 되었는데도 사람은 아프더군요.”
그 어느 때 보다 물질적으로 풍요롭고 의학기술이 발달한 시대인데도 예전에는 볼 수 없었던 암, 당뇨, 고혈압 등 만성 난치병 들이 계속 증가하고 있는 현실에 우리는 살고 있다.
김 대표는 이 문제의 해답을 찾기 위해 만성 난치병은 왜 고치기 어려운 것이며, 왜 생기는 것인가? 라는 의문의 화두를 들고 자연의학에 입문 하였다. 노벨 의학상을 두 번씩이나 수상한 미국 라이너스 폴링 박사의 “분자교정의학”을 비롯하여 사상의학 등 세계적으로 유명한 자연의학을 공부하고 연구하며 지도 하였다. 그러나 이러한 자연의학이 일시적 또는 부분적으로 효과가 있을 뿐이고, 근본적이고 전체적으로 건강이 이루어 지지 않는 문제에 봉착 하게 되었다. 김 대표는 이때에 인체를 원점에서 바라보게 되었다. 이때 보였던 것이 바로 물이었다. 인체의 70%, 혈액의 83%, 세포 구성의 90%를 차지하는 물! 이 절대 비중의 물을 그대로 방치한 상태에서 건강이 근본적, 전체적으로 이루어질 수 없다는 사실을 깨달았다. 당시에는 깨끗한 물이 좋을 것이라고 생각 한 김 대표는 이슬 물과 허준 의원의 동의보감 33가지 물을 비롯해서 전 세계의 물을 본격적으로 연구하기 시작 했다.

김영귀 대표는 현대인이 알칼리 환원수를 꼭 마셔야 하는 이유에 대해 이렇게 말한다.

“Water is the origin of manifesting life, a matrix of keeping and developing a life and connecting species of a life to posterity, and a wonder drug which won’t rot, burn or die.” Kim Yeong-gui, president of KYK Reduced Water Co., Ltd, is a water expert who has been devoted to R&D on ‘best-quality water’ for the past 34 years. As a “barley hump” generation after the War, he thought of resolving the hunger problem as the way of reviving people. “It was the time when hunger was considered the culprit for diseases. I also thought hunger was the reason, but then I saw that in the time when people were not hungry any more, they were still sick.”
Even in the age when people have become materially richer than ever before, together with advanced medical technology, we still are living in the reality with ever increasing chronic ailments such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension, etc. To find an answer to this problem, President Kim entered into natural medicine with the topic why incurable chronic diseases are hard to cure and what causes them. He studied “Orthomolecular medicine” by Dr. Linus Pauling (U.S), who received the Nobel Prize for Medicine not once but twice, Sasang constitutional medicine and other world-famed natural medicine even while teaching them. Wins the gold medal at the World Genius Contest in Japan
President Kim Yeong-gui took part in the 27th (2013) World Genius Contest in Japan and accomplished the splendid feat of winning the gold medal. He went out with the world’s first instant cooling technology he developed, the cold and warm alkaline-ionized water purifier equipped with design technology of the innovative structure without water-exiting coke, and the product of epochal air purifier with oxygen and phytoncide (phytonchid) combined in application of the world’s first technology of the small-type plasma generated from a low voltage. The result was that he was recognized for the ingenious new technology related to the development of this new product, won the highest honor of gold medal and promoted the country’s standing by the merit from the achievements of winning 8 gold medals at international invention expos including Germany, and an added feather in the cap from steel tower industrial decoration for invention. His developed instant cooling alkaline ionized water purifier without cask is the world’s first epochal product involving 6 years’ period for development and expenses of 3 million dollars, which received No. 1 award for new technology for two successive years from Korea Standards Association. “It was the system of filling that cask with water for storage and exiting water after cooling it. So the place inside the water-storage cask becomes such a hotbed for propagating germs and viruses that even cockroach lays its eggs and worms like ants enter and die floating on the water, making a totally serious condition. Besides, all cold-hot purifiers in the world have water-exiting cork outside in an exposed, fixed position to let dust come in. So it is nothing different from eating those germs and viruses by multiplying them and it was a really unsanitary, chronic problem. Besides, in case of the existing purifier, it was the system of eating water by drawing it out, by keeping water filled in the storage cask, so it causes much exhaustion of electricity and intrusion of dust and foreign matters because of the water-exiting cork fixed and exposed outside, which acts as a factory for multiplying germs and viruses. So I threw my heart and soul into developing the technology of performing excellent hot-cold water function on the premise of removing the water-storage cask and water-exiting cork.”
Then, by putting in over 6 years of time and over three billion won of R&D expenses, he finally developed the world’s first instant cooling technology with direct passage of piped water and no water-storage cask allowing no multiplication of germs, and technology for automatic receipt of water-exiting cork preventing the entrance of dust and germs, and performance of 9.999% auto pasteurization, obtaining power-saving effect incidentally. This product was selected among 20 companies for Korea’s top design products by KOTRA to exhibit in Louvre Museum of Paris, France, receiving a big response from buyers. Developing this epochal new-technology product is expected to make big economic effects, such as increasing foreign exports, creating jobs, etc.
