As for a manager Lee, Mi-Jeong of ‘Millenary Laughter Laboratory’ is a person who is forming a social consensus throughout this country by her lectures about healthy minds to keep in health and bringing out the revitalization as a laughter therapist.

Will make this world filled with ‘Millenary Laughter’ with an experience to get over her pain

From the Greek philosophy theory to a famous novel, and Rajneesh’s memorandum, the fundamental thing in the universe is laughter. Regardless of all ages and countries, laughter has been with people all the time and it gives a joy to other people and people who are laughing can have positive minds, ultimately. By that, Manager Lee, Mi-Jeong’s 7 inch-smile, which is because of the length of smiling lips, was not a coincident actually.

Manager Lee, Mi-Jeong of ‘Millenary Laughter Laboratory’ said it must be a destiny for her to live in Gyeongju, so to speak, a historical province in Korea, where a place is renowned for ‘Smiling roof tile. However, she had to go through depression and losing her confidence out of several times of major surgeries in the past.

At that time, she confessed that she had a really difficult time with tears and frustration. “I really didn’t understand why I was given this pain even though I was just trying to do my best in my life. How come that happened to me?” However, she experienced the effect of laughter and its theory while she was feeling like that and it was an accident. Since then, she was changed and became a person with passion and positive mind.

“If I didn’t have that kind hard time, I doubt if I would do this work. In other worlds, I am totally a different person who is helping people who are having a harsh time and is also feeling the same with them as well. After all, as I had that kind time too, it is possible.”

Her new life started with a Proffesor Hwang, Tae-Ok who is a CEO of Fun & Korea. He is her mentor and she actually learned lots of things from him. She got the certificate of laughter therapist from a school of continuing education, Dongguk University and it was a beginning of the chapter 2 of her life.

Spreading out the healing with a clear and intelligent method via ‘Millenary Laughter Laboratory’

Currently, she does over 350 lectures yearly and this is very enthusiastic. Her teacher who made her smile and laugh is a CEO Jo, Jung-Moon of the International Life Learning Association and Korea Laughter Treatment Institute. Eventually, thanks to her mentor and teacher, she could be a professional lecturer who can resolve any cases by places, ages and positions. Her way is that she is talking about various episodes happened around the world is very popular. In the end, she gets so many calls from public offices, public agencies, companies, social organizations, financial organizations, local governments, government-affiliated organizations and city-gun-gu councils etc. Also, she is working on the solution to prevent the suicide that is leading emotions to the positive mind, the brainstorming for preventing dementia and suggesting alternatives for sexual violence and sexual harassment as she wants to expand the category she used to do. She doesn’t really care about the size of lecture. She just cares about the people who are there. “Despite of a small lecture, my responsibility doesn’t get small at all. There are workers, parents, children or leaders of companies in the audience and I can find out what they want to listen to.” Like this, she is able to make any cases successfully. When she had a lecture in a senior citizen center and the number of people was 10. However, she felt like there were 500 people who listened to her.

Manager Lee who is trying to let people know laughter in more intelligent and sophisticated ways studied master degree of Humor, laughter treatment at the continuing school, Myeongji University and now is teaching students as a certificated professional at the continuing school. According to her, once laughter starts from happiness, it is getting spread out quickly like fire and if it becomes a habit, our face would be inspiring around us.

A queen of optimism who propagates the happiness by a customized laughter lecture

Her goal is to show the second chance in life to many more people with ‘Millenary Laughter’ as like she did experience. Therefore, she has a secret to appeal strategy for a target that could be a core of laughter. They are housewives and in that case, they can make their families happy by laughter. Besides, parents have to laugh first, then their kids can follow them and this is what she is always emphasizing. In other words, there are some different advices of laughter by ages and jobs. Manager Lee wanted to have a clear goal for people who want to listen to her secret as she has lived her life actively. She said, “My happiness starts from praying for others’ happiness.” This is general to say and she is more saying other than that. “Remember that I am the most precious person in the world. Think that I am a great person from head to toes. It is important to have self-regard and to live with a positive mind. Then, we can change our lives into be positive and give some laughter and happiness around us.” This is what she is talking about for us.

Manager Lee who is busy in schedule is working as a local director of Korea Laughter Treatment Institute, full-time professor of Hyundai Research Institute of Local Councils and having lectures at Korean Adults Culture Center, Gaemyeong Culture University, Gyeongju Happiness Culture Center, Hyundai Heavy Industries Group Culture Center, and Daegu Haany University, and her ‘Millenary Laughter’ spirit would go around the country and she will be remembered as a laughter messenger.
