한영 수교 130주년 및 한국전쟁 정전 60주년 기념 문화행사 개최
문화체육관광부 해외문화홍보원은 지난 6월 14일부터 영국 런던에서 8일간 한영 수교 130주년 및 한국전쟁 정전 60주년 기념행사인 ‘케이 뮤직 페스티벌’을 개최하였다. 6월 14일(금), 20:00 영국 유수 문화복합센터 바비칸 홀에서 영국 정·관계 인사(영국외무성 아태국장 Peter Wilson, 상원의원, 각국 대사 및 공사), 박석환 주영국 한국대사, 영국문화원장, 주영국 외교 사절, 영국 언론(BBC 앵커)·문화계 주요 인사(왕립음악학교 관계자), 한국전쟁 참전용사(Major General GMS Swindells 장군), 런던 시민 등 1,000여 명이 참석한 가운데 국립국악관현악단이 ‘케이 뮤직 페스티벌’ 오프닝을 장식할 예정이며, 이어서 한영 수교 130주년 및 한국전쟁 정전 60주년 축하 리셉션을 진행하였다. 이번 행사를 주관한 문화체육관광부 해외문화홍보원의 우진영 원장은 “창의적 아이디어와 국제 감각, 신기술로 무장한 젊은 음악가, 문화예술인들이 해외에서 다양한 장르의 문화예술 활동을 할 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원할 계획이다.”라고 밝혔다. 이번 수교기념 문화행사는 양국 간 소통의 장을 마련하여 서로의 문화를 가슴으로 느낄 수 있는 계기가 될 것으로 보이며, 이를 바탕으로 130년간 지속된 양국 교류관계를 더욱 확대시켜 문화 및 인적 교류를 비롯한 양국 관계 전반에 걸친 협력증진에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
제28차 한일관광진흥협의회 울산광역시에서 개최
문화체육관광부(장관 유진룡)와 일본 국토교통성(대신 하타 유이치로)은 6월 12일부터 14일까지 울산광역시에서 양국 관광 담당 국장급을 대표로 ‘제28차 한일관광진흥협의회’를 개최하고, 양국 간 관광교류 활성화 방안에 대하여 논의하였다. 이번 회의에서는 양국 간 관광교류 촉진에 관한 과제에 대해 논의하고, 관광교류가 더 나은 한일 관계를 구축하기 위한 불가결한 요소의 하나라는 것에 인식을 같이했다. 이에 작년 하코다테 시에서 개최된 27차 회의에서 합의한 바와 같이 올해 양국 간 교류 인원 700만 명 달성을 위하여 한일 양국의 연계를 더욱 강화하기로 하였다. 이와 함께 올해 부산, 울산, 경남 방문의 해를 맞아, 울산광역시의 지방관광활성화 사업 및 주요 이벤트가 소개된 후, 양국 업계 발표와 건의 사항 검토 등 한일 관광교류에 기여할 수 있는 다양한 사업들에 대한 진지하고 심도 있는 토론이 이루어졌다. 양국은 올해를 한일지방관광교류 원년의 해로 기념하기 위하여 지난 2월 공동 로고를 제작한 데 이어 13일 본회의 종료 후에 공동 포스터를 공개하였다.
산업부, 산업핵심기술개발 과제기획 착수
산업통상자원부(장관 : 윤상직)는 차년도 중장기 기술개발과제 기획 방향을 설정하는「산업기술 R&BD」전략 수립을 위한 실무작업반 전체 Kick-off 회의를 지난 6월 17일 양재동 한국교원단체총연합회관에서 개최하였다. 산업기술 R&BD전략은 “산업기술혁신계획”(5개년)의 연간 시행계획으로서, R&D 중점투자 방향을 설정하고 차년도 중장기 과제* 기획을 위한 산업별 또는 산업간 융합 테마를 발굴하기 위한 전략이다. 이 전략은 27개 산업 분야별 실무작업반을 통해 수립될 예정이며, 실무작업반에는 기술전문가 외에 융합 과제 발굴 및 사업화 고려를 위해 디자이너 및 시장, 특허, 표준 관련 전문가를 포함한다. 이 날, 김 차관은 개회사를 통해 “새 정부의 핵심방향인 창조경제 실현을 위해 산업기술 R&D가 중심 역할을 해야 한다”고 강조하며 “주요경쟁국과 성장동력 분야가 중복되나 투입 재원은 매우 부족한 상황으로, 한국이 강점을 가진 핵심 분야를 발굴하고 집중 지원하는 것이 중요하다”고 밝혔다. 향후, R&BD전략 수립을 통한 과제기획 테마를 발굴하고, 테마를 중심으로 MD 및 PD가 과제를 기획하고, 기획된 과제는 공청회 등을 거쳐 12월말에 최종 과제 선정이 이루어질 계획이다.
산업부, ‘2013 지자체-기업 투자상담회’개최
산업통상자원부와 비수도권 14개 광역시ㆍ도는 지난 6월 12일 JW 메리어트 호텔에서 수도권 기업을 대상으로 ‘2013 지자체-기업 투자상담회’를 개최하였다. 여섯 번째로 개최된 금번 상담회는 기업과 지방간 만남의 장 마련을 통해 기업의 지방이전ㆍ투자를 촉진하기 위한 것으로 지방이전투자에 관심 있는 기업인 및 비수도권 광역시?도 투자유치 담당 공무원 등 약 300명이 참석하여 성황을 이루었다. 설명회에 참여한 한 기업 관계자는 “각 지역의 투자정보 및 지원내용을 한 곳에서 서로 비교하고 상담함으로써, 지방이전ㆍ투자를 통한 새로운 도약을 모색해 볼 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되었다”고 말했다. 한편, 김재홍 산업통상자원부 제1차관은 “장기적인 시야를 가지고 멀리보는 기업에게는 지방이 새로운 기회의 땅이 될 것”이라고 강조하면서, “많은 기업이 지방에 투자함으로써 지역경제가 활성화되고 지역에도 양질의 일자리가 많이 창출될 수 있기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
Cultural events celebrating 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations with UK and 60th anniversary of the Korean War armistice
In London of UK, the Korean Culture and Information Service of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held ‘K-Music Festival’ for eight days from June 14 as an event celebrating 130th anniversary of Korea-UK diplomatic relations and 60th anniversary of the Korean War armistice. On June 14 (Fri) 20:00 at Barbican Hall, a leading British culture complex center, the National Orchestra of Korea started ‘K-Music Festival’ and opened the ceremony in attendance of around 1,000 people including the UK’s political and governmental figures (Peter Wilson, chief of Foreign Ministry Asia-Pacific Affairs Bureau, members of the Upper House, ambassadors and diplomatic representatives), Park Seok-hwan, Korean ambassador to the UK, head of the British Council, diplomatic missions to UK, British press (BBC anchorman), notables from culture world (Royal College of Music), Korean War veterans (Major General GMS Swindells), and London citizens. This was followed by the reception celebrating 130th anniversary of Korea-UK diplomatic ties and 60th anniversary of the Korean War armistice. Woo Jin-yeong, president of the Korean Culture and Information Service of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism who organized this event, clarified, “We are planning to positively support young musicians and artists armed with creative idea, cosmopolitan outlook and new technique for diverse genres of culture and art activities overseas.” This cultural event for celebrating diplomatic ties is offering an opportunity to become familiar with each other’s culture by setting the scene for communication, which will further enlarge the bilateral relations for the past 130 years serving to increase cooperation on the whole level of both countries including cultural and personal exchange.
28th Korea-Japan tourism furtherance conference held in Ulsan metropolitan city
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Yoo Jin-ryong) and the Japanese Ministry of Land and Transport (Hata Yuichiro) had ‘the 28th Korea-Japan tourism furtherance conference,’ which was represented by director of both bureau, in Ulsan metropolitan city from June 12 through 14 discussing a plan for activating exchanges of tourism between the two countries. At this conference, both parties discussed the task of facilitating tourism exchanges between two countries arriving at the common conclusion that it is one of the indispensable elements for building better bilateral relations. Consequently, as agreed at the 27th conference held at Hakodate city last year, both agreed to further strengthen the connection between two countries to accomplish the 7 million people of bilateral exchange this year. Together with this, marking the visit year for Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam this year, Ulsan city’s project for local sightseeing activity and chief events were introduced and then serious and in-depth discussion was made on diverse projects to contribute to Korea-Japan exchange of tourism including presentations by industries from both countries and reviews of suggestions. To celebrate this year as the first year of provincial tourism, both countries released the common poster after the end of the main session on 13th following the common logo made last February.
