Her devotion to choosing high quality materials and exerting sincerity for happiness of those who wear her clothes have all brought this brand such a big name. Of course, constant praise by celebrities have contributed to increasing its reputation. But, that's not all. At the age of 24. Park had learned how to make Hanbok and sew from Lee Lija, a renowned artisan. Giving up on rests and eating sometimes, she put a great affection into Hanbok. Thanks to her endless efforts, she finally succeeded to grow a small shop into a big one in Cheongdam street, the main fashion region in Seoul.


Life Devoted to Making Hanbok

Many say that sincere sewing work and elaborate colors with embroidery distinguish Park's Hanbok with other ones. Park believes that clothes should deliver values in life. To popularize Hanbok, she was certified Mainbiz which was given to innovative small enterprise for the first time in the industry in 2008. In addition, she also opened a Hanbok shop in Intercontinental Hotel to enhance its brand power.


In 2009, she donated some profits from a fashion show to Korea Red Cross. Wardrobe provision for famous TV dramas also helped it gain a popularity. But, she said she has never slept more than 4 hours a day in running the business. Living a busy life than anyone else, one day thyroid cancer totally changed her life.

After undergoing a hard operation, she released herself from hospital to make clothes. But, she also realized that health is important in her life. That even cannot stop her from making Hanbok. Concentrating herself on work, she has begun to grow greens by building a small house outside Seoul. That was a small change in her busy days.


Remind Familiarity and Coziness of Hanbok

This small change made her think of harmony between daily lives and Hanbok. In this atmosphere, she delivered a message of protecting the environment at a fashion show held in 2011. In the past, she tried to harmonize elaboration and beauty the Western dress is known to have with our traditional culture. Now, she has found a spirit of environmentally-friendliness in our own traditional cloth. Living in a small and simple house, she has tried to integrate Western culture into Korean one.


To keep Park's success story going, she expanded the business into bed clothes. Sticking to hand sewing, she has adopted a modern textile manufacturing to make washing and keeping clothes easy. Not only for this, Park Soolnyeo Bedding also delivers the true beauty of traditional Hanbok. A square-patterned blanket gives us a visual joy. The Artisan Throughout History
Park's love with Hanbok in also in line with promoting Korean culture. Ever since 1995, she has continued to provide clothes for a variety of fashion shows and TV dramas. In 2000, she provided the wardrobe for the 3rd Asia Europe Summit.

In addition, she is known to have made a great contribution to promoting Korean culture through various fashion events. She sticks to one principle in providing clothes even for celebrities. That results from an effort to make overseas TV audiences who have favorably watched Korean TV dramas encounter Hanbok through her brand.


This sincerity led to receiving the award at 2011 Hanbok Cultural Art. To get the beauty of Hanbok across to the ordinary people, she held several fashion shows. Park also participated in a tour program of promoting Korean culture led by Korea Tourism Organization on Aug 24. In this tour, Park helped 14 foreigners to experience Korean traditional culture by letting them dress Hanbok. It would also help to enhance national prestige.
