드림크루즈 해운, 3,700여 명 규모의 선박 운항 도입할 것
사업비 조달 완료, 전문 인력 확충 통해 크루즈 전문 선사의 역할 다할 것
드림크루즈해운(주)(www.cru7.com)는 부산 본사, 서울과 제주, 홍콩에 각각 지사와 영업점을 두고 있는 정통크루즈 선사로서 작년 12월 현재 카리브해에서 운항중인 73,000톤급의 초대형 크루즈 선박의 검선과 인수조건 협상을 끝내고 올해 상반기 중 선박을 인수, 도입하여 한-중-일 및 국내 연해안 운항, 향후 1척을 추가 도입하여 알래스카와 지중해 등 동북 아시아권을 운항할 계획을 갖고 있다.

드림크루즈 1호로 명명될 이 선박은 길이 268.22ｍ, 폭 32.3ｍ, 높이 13층 규모로 객실 1,196개를 갖추고 있고 승객 2,700명과 승무원 900명 등 총 3,700여명이 동시에 탑승할 수 있는 초대형 정통크루즈 선박이다.

2,000석 규모의 공연장과 수영장, 암벽등반, 건강검진센터, 성형외과, 전자랜드, 보석방, 시계 등 세계명품 매장과 화실, 카지노, 칵테일 바, 스포츠센터, 노래방 등과 50여 입점 점포 등의 다양한 시설을 갖추고 있는 움직이는 초호화 리조트로서 호텔형 휴양시설을 다양하게 갖추고 있는 정통 크루즈 선박이다.

드림크루즈해운(주)는 최근 부산을 모항으로 하는 국적크루즈 운항을 목표로 장기간에 걸친 사업 타당성 조사를 거쳐 크루즈 운항 및 내외자 조달 등을 위해 홍콩의 ‘드림크루즈 월드 LTD’를 인수하고 ‘LIG투자증권 (KB금융에서 인수)’을 포함, 3곳의 투자 회사와 자금조달 업무협약을 체결하여 사업비 조달을 완료했다.

또한 국내 카지노 운영사와 카지노사업의 공동운영 업무협약을 협의 중이며, 전문 인력 확충을 통해 크루즈 전문 선사로서 명실상부한 위치를 확보하고자 부단한 노력을 경주하여 왔다.

드림크루즈해운(주)은 현재 세계 유수의 크루즈 선사인 프린세스 크루즈를 비롯한 세계 7대 크루즈 선사와 직간접 협약을 맺고 세계 24개국 320여 기항지를 여행할 수 있는 여행 시스템 라인을 구축한 크루즈 전문 업체다.

드림크루즈해운(주)는 작년 5월 15일 부산일보사와 홍보 및 한류 이벤트 행사 등 부산지역 국제 크루즈 테마타운 지정 제안과 외국 관광객 유치사업에 대한 공동 업무협약 체결에 이어 국제 크루즈 터미널 관할인 부산 동구청, 영도구청, 중구청과의 업무협약 체결을 하였다.

특별히 관광 특구인 중구청과는 광복동과 부평동 일대에 국내외 크루즈고객 방문환영, 테마거리, 차 없는 거리로 지정 부산의 향토 문화공연, 풍물거리, 용두산 공원 공연과 남포동 부평동 등 먹거리 행사와 국내 다양한 지역특산물을 판매하는 코너 등의 공간을 지정하여 운영하자고 중구청장과 합의 업무협약을 체결하였다.

또한 국제 봉사단체인 라이온스협회 제 355-A (부산)지구 회원 8,400여명과 가족 등 약 33,600여명의 가족들이 크루즈 여행을 즐길 수 있는 계약도 체결한 생태이다.

남인희 회장은 “세계 크루즈가 입항하는 기항지와는 달리 국적크루즈 사업은 크루즈 선박 1대당 직간접 3,600여명의 일자리 창출, 선박 내 입점사업 종사원, 승무원, 선원, 여행업, 식자재, 선용품 관련 부대산업의 활성화를 통한 경제효과 및 관광유발효과 약 3,000억 원을 가져올 수 있는 사업이다.”라며 “외국선사에 비해 내국인 카지노 출입 금지 등의 열악한 마케팅 환경에서 국적크루즈선의 연내 도입을 위해서는 정부의 적극적인 행․재정적 지원이 우선되어야 할 것으로 또한 내국인 선상카지노 출입 허용을 조속히 마련하여 국적크루즈 운항 사업이 정착될 수 있는 제도적 정책을 세워야 한다”고 강력히 주장했다.

남 회장은 또한 “세계 메이저 크루즈 선사, 유명 관광 여행사와의 실질적인 네트워크 확대 조성에 드림크루즈해운(주)가 최선두에서 그 역할을 다할 것”이라는 각오와 의지를 표했다.

Dream Cruise (www.cru7.com) is currently running branches in Busan (headquarters), Seoul, Jeju and Hongkong. Chairman Nam has recently signed a contract in last December to take over a 73,000 ton cruise which has run on the Caribbean Sea for the run on the seas around Korea, China and Japan. He also has a plan to take over yet another cruise to connect Asia to Alaska and the Mediterranean Sea. The cruise will be called as 'Dream Cruise I' and it is 268.22 meters in length, 32.3 meters in width, and has 1,196 rooms on its total 13 floors. The cruise also has a 2,000 seat concert hall, swimming pool, rock climb, health check-up center, plastic surgery, shopping mall (50 stores), atelier, casino, cocktail bar, sports center and noraebang (singing room). It can accommodate 3,700 people including 900 staff and 2,700 passengers. Recently, Dream Cruise has taken over Dream Cruise World Ltd (Hongkong) and signed a business agreement with three investment companies including LIG Investment & Securities to secure business fund. Chairman Nam is also discussing on business agreement with casino companies for joint management.

Dream Cruise has signed direct and indirect business contracts with the world's top 7 cruise companies including Princess Cruise and secured a system to run its cruise to travel 320 harbors in 24 countries around the world. After signing a business agreement with The Busan Ilbo on 15 May last year to promote K-Wave related events and in regard to creating Busan international cruise theme town, Dream Cruise signed business agreements with Dong-gu Office, Yeongdo-gu Office and Jung-gu Office which are the jurisdiction of the international cruise terminal. Jung-gu Office in particular appointed Gwangbok-dong and Bupyeong-dong as cruise passenger welcome area, cruise theme street and carless street, and local speciality sales area. Dream Cruise also signed a business agreement with Lions Clubs International 355-A (Busan) so that the 8,400 members (33,600 in total including the families) can enjoy the cruise. Meanwhile, Chairman Nam has exerted his effort in passing 'Cruise Promotion & Support, On-ship Casino Act' for the last 3 years and received '2014 Korea People Awards' alongside the top performed lawmakers on parliamentary inspection, '21C Proud Korean Awards', 'Innovative Korean Leaders Awards', '2015 Korea Value Management Awards', 'Korean Social Contribution Award' and 'Regional Development Award'.

Nam says "A cruise ship can create 3,600 jobs and KRW 300 billion economic effect. In order to introduce a Korean cruise within the year, an active financial and administrative support from the government is urgently needed especially in terms of on-ship casino. The government also needs to bring up effective related policies to promote the overall Korean cruise industry." Nam adds "For our part, we will take the initiative in expanding the business network with global cruise companies and travel agencies."
